Catholic Hythe Parish Team

Our team is here to serve the parish of Catholic Hythe.

Our priests administer the sacraments and lead the team's pastoral and apostolic work. Team members include our Parish Priest, Father Fred Alexander, Father Robert Copsey, Parish Assistant, Martha Clark (all of SOLT) - with Permanent Deacon Reverend Ray Partridge and parish secretary, Tim Morris. The whole team works together in helping the Gospel message reach into the lives, homes and wider community of our parish. Our team work is extended by contributions of many parishioners who offer both practical and spiritual support to the parish community. The parish is also most fortunate to have the assistance of two retired priests of Southwark and Westminster Dioceses. We hope and pray our activities will cultivate a loving relationship between Christ and those we serve. As a Catholic team we place great value in the sacraments with their power to unite us in the Church, as the Body of Christ. "So we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another". St.Paul's Letter to the Romans 12:5

 Our work as a team for Christ........

christ has no body now on earth graphic

"Christ has no body now on earth but yours, no hands but yours,
no feet but yours;
yours are the eyes through which Christ's compassion looks out on the world, yours are the feet with which He is to go about doing good and yours are the hands with which He is to bless us now."

St Teresa of Avila

About SOLT - Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity

SOLT exists to serve Christ and His Universal Church through service of the local church and obedience to the will of the bishop in areas of greatest apostolic need. So, although Catholic Hythe is served by SOLT it is fully part of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Southwark, under the jurisdiction of Archbishop Kevin McDonald. SOLT brings to the Catholic Hythe team its charism of (1) following the example of Our Lady (Mary) as the first and most perfect of Jesus' disciples.....a disciple with a perfect relationship / communion - with the Trinity (2) Service in 'Ecclesial Teams' and (3) Trinitarian spirituality. SOLT is comprised of priests, permanent deacons, religious, single and married laity. By serving together on 'ecclesial teams', the members of SOLT present an image of the Church as Community. SOLT serves the Church in Her mission to draw all people to the fullness of life in Christ, "....and I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to myself." John's Gospel 12:32
