Films shown are diverse.....from 'Finding Nemo' to 'A Man for All Seasons'...from 'Andrea Bocelli in Concert' to 'The Muppet Christmas Carol'! Youth & Children
At Catholic Hythe we hope our children will mature into young adults who are disciples of Jesus Christ. As they look out towards the future, we want our young people to have something better than the world's false idea of freedom. By supporting families and offering specific activities for our young people, such as the 'Children's Liturgy of the Word', 'Young Families Group & Activities', 'Youth 2000' and 'Youth Group', we aim to assist our young people to love Christ and bring others to Him |

Marist Way Jean Claude Colin, founder of the Marist Congregation wanted a branch for lay people. He felt such people, living the Gospel as Mary did, could reach those who had no contact with the Church and could bring the values of the congregation to more diverse groups of people. These lay ‘Marist Way’ members are called to be a Marian presence within the Church, witnessing to the compassion and mercy of God. Members meet at 7.00pm on the second Wednesday of each month in the Marist Convent, Seabrook Road. |

Parish Shop - Repository At Hythe there is a permanent shop situated to the left of the church entrance - it is open after Sunday Masses and carries a stock of books, leaflets, cards, medals, rosaries etc. Special items are available e.g. for Christmas and First Holy Communion. |
Many other parish activities are promoted throughout the year - full details of these and the above groups are in the weekly newsletters, available in our churches. Other activities include participation in diocesan events, local ecumenical events, men's prayer meetings, sacrament preparation, RCIA/ABC programme for those interested in knowing more about the Catholic Faith and much more........the parish is also indebted to the team of workers who operate 'behind the scenes' such as the flower arrangers, sacristans, MCs, repository staff and church cleaners, to enhance the life and worship of our community . |
